September 2020 Opening Plans

Following the outbreak of Covid-19 and the Government’s response to manage the pandemic, Thorney Close Primary School is operating differently to how we normally deliver education and support to our pupils and their families. Many pupils are at home and we have a reduction in the amount of staff available. Despite this, the safety and wellbeing of all our pupils remains paramount.

Personal hygiene is the most important way we can tackle COVID-19, especially washing hands more; and the catch it, bin it, kill it strategy for those with coughs and sneezes.

Public Health England recommends that in addition to handwashing before eating, and after coughing and sneezing, everyone should also wash hands after using toilets and travelling on public transport.

Wash your hands more often for 20 seconds with soap and hot water.  Watch this short NHS film for guidance.
