If your child attends a school within Sunderland Local Authority and you would like to transfer them to Thorney Close Primary School you should firstly meet with the Headteacher of your child's current school and advise that you are considering the move. You will be required to complete and sign a Pupil Transfer Notice, this can be accessed by clicking on the below link: The Pupil Transfer Notice will also need to be discussed and signed by the Headteacher of your child's current school before sending to Thorney Close Primary School.
In the meantime, are advised to make an appointment to meet Headteacher, Mrs. C. Jones to discuss your child's move and receive our own transition information. This will enable you to make an informed decision as to whether we are the right school for your child. You will be advised if spaces are available in the required year group and if the transfer can take place.
