We would like to say a big thank you for supporting your children to attend school and engage so well with their learning. We know that this reflects the value our families place on children learning in school every day.   • Tuesday 4 November 2025 Children in Need - 14th November 2025 The School Council invites all children to take part in a Toy Swap Sale! If your child has any toys they no longer play with, please send them in to be sold at school, with all proceeds going to Children in Need 2025.
  • Tuesday 4 November 2025 Poppy Appeal 2025 Remembrance Day poppies and other items are now available to support this year’s appeal. The items will be available to purchase on the playgrounds during break and lunch until the appeal concludes.

  • Friday 10 October 2025 Attendance News - 10th October 2025 We set a clear expectation: every child should aim for at least 96% attendance—that’s no more than 8 days off per year.
  • Thursday 9 October 2025 30-Hour Funded Childcare – Starting After October Half Term We are pleased to confirm that from after the October half term, we will be offering 30 hours of funded childcare for eligible families.

  • Wednesday 1 October 2025 Roker Pier Despite the wet weather, Oak Class had a wonderful trip in the school minibus to visit the newly reopened Roker Pier following its restoration.
  • Tuesday 30 September 2025 Eden Camp The school minibuses had their first big outing of the year as Year 6 travelled to Eden Camp in North Yorkshire. The children have been studying 'Goodnight Mister Tom' in class and learning about World War Two, so the visit was a perfect opportunity to bring their learning to life.

  • Wednesday 18 June 2025 Sun Safe As we head into the sunnier months and enjoy the sunshine, we kindly remind you to apply sunscreen to your child before they come to school. If your child has a sun hat or cap, please ensure they bring it with them. We’ll make sure they have access to plenty of drinks to keep them hydrated throughout the day.
