Thorney Close Primary School30-Hour Funded Childcare – Starting After October Half Term
We are pleased to confirm that from after the October half term, we will be offering 30 hours of funded childcare for eligible families.
Who is Eligible?
All 2, 3 and 4-year-old children in England are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare each week. Working parents may also qualify for an additional 15 hours, giving a total of 30 hours of funded childcare per week.What Does the Day Look Like?
Children who access the full 30 hours will:- Start school at 8:45 am
- Stay for lunch (charged at £2.50 per day)
- Finish school at 3:15 pm

To check your eligibility, visit: www.childcarechoices.gov.ukIf you are eligible, you can apply online here: www.gov.uk/apply-free-childcare-if-youre-workingOnce approved, you will receive an 11-digit code. Please give this code to Mrs Jenner, our School Business Manager, so we can set up your child’s extended place. Note: You must reconfirm your code every 3 months to stay eligible.Need Help?
