Christmas Dates

Here are some important Christmas dates for your diary.  

Christmas Trips

As you're already aware, our Christmas visits to Gibside, Lilidorei, and Raby are scheduled for the 11th, 12th, and 13th of December. Consent forms have been sent to everyone; if you haven’t received yours, please let me know, and I’ll ensure a replacement is sent to you.

Christmas Nativity

Our Christmas Nativity performance will take place on Thursday 19th December 2024. There will be two performances: one in the morning for the parents of children in Willow, Beech, Sycamore, Larch and Hazel classes (bottom corridor classes) and another on the afternoon for parents of children in Oak, Poplar, Fir, Spruce and Cedar classes (top corridor classes)

Due to space constraints, as all children and staff will be in the hall, we kindly ask that no more than two people per child attend.

Where possible, we ask you to avoid bringing young children/babies; however, we understand that this may not always be possible. However, please note that pushchairs and prams cannot be brought into the hall and must be left in the foyer area near the school office.

• Morning Performance starts at 10.30am - Willow, Beech, Sycamore, Larch and Hazel classes (bottom corridor classes)
• Afternoon Performance starts at 2.00pm - Oak, Poplar, Fir, Spruce and Cedar classes (top corridor classes)

Nursery Nativity Sing a long

Nursery parents are invited to join us on Tuesday 10th December for a Nursery Nativity Sing-Along. This event will take place at 11:00am in the nursery.

Christmas Party/Disco

On the Monday 16th December, we will be hosting an after-school Christmas disco/party featuring music and party games by our resident DJ’s Vaughan and Drane, a quieter area for crafts, hot dogs, and juice.

The party will have two time slots for the different age groups:

• Children in Reception to Year 2: 4:15pm – 5:45pm
• Children in Year 3 to Year 6: 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Parents are kindly asked to drop off and collect their children at the main school entrance at the times stated above.

Nursery and 2 year old Christmas Party

The Nursery and 2-Year-Old Christmas Party will be held in school on the morning of Tuesday 17th December 2024. Children in Seedlings and Saplings classes may come to school in their party clothes to enjoy a morning filled with fun, music, and games.

Christmas Dinner

Christmas dinner will be served on Friday, 20th December. All children who usually have a school lunch will automatically be offered a Christmas dinner.

If your child normally brings a packed lunch but would like to have a Christmas dinner on this date, please let me know so I can add their name to the list. The cost of the meal is £2.40, and payment should be made through the usual e-payment system.

Christmas Jumpers

Children are welcome to wear their Christmas jumpers on the last day of term - Friday 20th December.
