"Where Learning Blossoms..."

End of Day Arrangements

We are having a lovely first day back and the children looked so smart in their new uniforms with their smart new haircuts and styles. They have settled very well on their first day and we even managed lunch in just two sittings!

The collection arrangements for after school, are as follows:

  • All children finish today at 3.15pm apart from Reception who finish this week at 2.00pm.
  • Any class with a direct external door - the children will be collected from the classroom door, just please use the lines to queue and we'll hand the children over as you arrive to the front of the queue.
  • The deaf children will be collected from the Deaf Support Centre door on the bottom yard.
  • The children in Year 3 and 4 will line up on the white lines in the top yard. The teacher will be at the front of the line. You will then go to the teacher who will in turn hand over your child safely.

Please be patient as we are dealing with new arrangements and it will get easier as everyone gets used to it. There will be plenty of staff around to help.

Public Health Sunderland have said that all staff and visitors must wear masks inside the school building for the next two weeks (apart from in the classrooms) as case numbers of Covid in the city are high.

We will also send out a flu nasal spray letter for all children in Reception up to and including Year 6 tonight as Sunderland Public Health are going to start this programme soon. The letters need to be returned by Monday 13th of September if you wish your child to have this preventative spray. It has been a great start to the year, it was lovely seeing you all again this morning and what lovely weather for our first week back.
