Nursery Admissions
Admission to Thorney Close Primary School Nursery is by application when your child is two years old. Applications must be made on the Local Authority form which is available from the school office. Forms should be fully completed and returned to school. As part of our school safeguarding checks we must see your child’s birth certificate.
Admission to Nursery does not guarantee automatic admission to Thorney Close Primary School Reception (see Reception admissions for further guidance). Children are eligible to begin Nursery education the term after their third birthday (if there are spaces within our Nursery class) and are entitled to 15 hours education a week. We currently have a Nursery class which starts at 8.45am and finishes 11.45am, Monday to Friday.
Parents/carers who have completed a Nursery admission form for Thorney Close Primary School will be contacted during the term prior to their child starting Nursery with full admission details. Children and parents will be invited to meet our Nursery staff and visit school prior to starting so that parent and experience the Nursery environment.
