Where Can I Find a Bear?
This term we are exploring the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears, making porridge for the bears and hiding them around nursery to find.
We also created an obstacle course, carefully carrying oats in buckets while practising our balancing skills along the way.

World Book Day
The children enjoyed a fantastic day exploring Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? through outdoor reading and creative, book-themed activities.
From painting their own characters to inventing imaginative small-world stories, their creativity truly shone!

Creative Mark Making and Firefighter Adventures
The children explored paint, movement, and small-world play to build creativity, balance, and coordination. Through imaginative firefighter role play, they developed storytelling skills, confidence, and collaborative play.

Farm to Folk
This week, children explored farm life through creative play, mark making, and sensory activities inspired by “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” and Oh Dear!.
From small-world animal games to outdoor kitchen adventures, it was a joyful week of teamwork, imagination, and early learning.

People Who Help Us
This week, the children have been highly engaged in our topic People Who Help Us, focusing on the police. They explored the theme through mark making with emergency vehicles, creating police cars, and building traffic lights, showing great curiosity and enthusiasm.

Outdoor Fun and Learning
Today the children enjoyed exploring the yard, building their strength and balance through active movement games. They also used their imaginations and problem-solving skills while playing and working together with friends.

Our Families
In class, children drew pictures of their families using felt-tip pens and talked about the different jobs family members do at home. This activity encouraged conversation, listening skills, and sharing ideas about family life.

Our Face
In Seedlings Class, we have been exploring the theme of 'Our Faces'. The children have had lots of fun singing songs, drawing pictures, and using playdough to create their own face models. We talked about the different facial features we all have – eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. The activities helped us to learn new vocabulary and develop our creative skills.

Craft Morning
The children enjoyed a lovely craft session in Seedlings this morning. They were each given a piece of card and encouraged to use their creativity, choosing from a variety of materials to decorate it in their own unique way.

Sensory Garden
During our visit to the sensory garden, the children discovered some apples growing on the trees. This sparked a lovely group discussion as we talked about the different colours we could see — “red” and “green” were proudly identified by the children. It was a great opportunity to explore nature, practice colour recognition, and engage in meaningful conversation together.

Water Fun
In Seedlings, we enjoyed a fun-filled morning of water play! The children had a great time giving some of the dolls a bath. Later in the morning, they got creative with a variety of painting activities.

Making New Friends
We’ve begun making new friends as the new starters join the Seedlings class.

Creative Crafts
The children explored the studio room and took part in a range of creative craft activities.

Outside Play
During our outdoor learning time, we enjoyed exploring the area and choosing our own activities, including a variety of toys and resources that sparked our curiosity and creativity.

Musical Morning
It was a musical morning in Seedlings as we explored a variety of instruments, experimenting with sounds and rhythms in a fun and engaging way.

Dressing Up
It was another busy and exciting morning in Seedlings! We had lots of fun dressing up in different costumes and proudly showing them off to our friends.
