Sunderland Museum Visit - Year 4 Miss Keast - 7th June 2017

(17 images)

In Year 4 we went on a class visit to Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens. We enjoyed learning about The Water Cycle and were able to dress up in funny hats. We each had a role to play to re-create each part of the cycle. We also had the chance to explore the museum and enjoyed finding out information about different animals and our local history. We even found a tarantula!

Science Digestion Investigation - Year 4 Miss Keast - November 2016

(11 images)

In Science, we have been learning about the digestive system. We used tights to re-create the large intestine. We mashed up Weetabix, mixed it with water and watched it travel through the tights. It was very disgusting and very messy but we loved it!

Pizza Maths - Year 4 Miss Keast - November 2016

(13 images)

In Maths, we put our addition and subtraction skills to the test. We used pizza menus to work out our ideal menu. We took orders from our class mates and worked out how much it would cost. We were able to add up the total price as well as working out the change. It made us very hungry!

Maths - Year 4 Miss Keast - 21st November 2016

In Maths we have been learning to use a range of different equipment. We were able to use base ten grids and place value counters to create three and four digit numbers. We used the equipment to answer multiplication questions. We found this very helpful and really fun.
